TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Most of my academic teaching was to (under- and graduate) students in the History programme and graduate students in the Research Master programme Modern History and International Relations. I taught classes in Dutch and in English on:
- Sources and methods for economic and social history
- Globalisation in a long-term perspective
- Dutch history in international perspective
- Seminars on Regional development, Social inequality and EU Regional policies, Social segregation in its spatial dimensions, Urban-planning, Sub-urbanisation and Urban sprawl, Rural and Urban relations.
- Ba & Ma Thesis supervision and grading
- Participation in the teaching staff of the PhD-programme of the NW Posthumus Institute for Economic and Social History (Seminar II) and the Research Design Course (Seminar III) of the European Graduate School for Training in Economic and Social-historical Research 1996-2005.
